Tapatio means: born in Guadalajara or a person from Guadalajara
It is possibly also a play with words – to make a connection with the authentic mariachi “Jarabe Tapatio” which is a representation of the Jalisco culture and the tequila being the “liquid” authentic representation of Jalisco – both are Mexican symbols
The Camarena family has very traditional values. They produce tequila with heart and passion, patience and respect. These values come first, before the business of selling tequila.
