The 5 brothers and Feliciano Vivano came together and funded the distillery due to the fluctuating price of the agave
The year on the bottle 1929 is related to the Cristero wars. The brother of Sergio Vivanco’s grandfather was caught for trying to steal horses from the army and were killed. They chose this date in record as the starting point for the family being agave growers and then becoming tequila producers in the late 80s.
The region was very poor historically and the locals had to work hard and they were businessmen. They were selling their tequila in the town of Tequila and on the way back they were bringing back furnitures from Guadalajara to sell. They have several ranchos, animals as well with the latest business being the distillery.
