Akiyoshi has been organizing tequila tasting events since 2018 in his unique “Tequila Dojo”, an event where he shares rare authentic tequilas that are not sold in Japan, so the Japanese aficionado community can taste and learn from. Up to date he has organized over 160 events and he has an impressive collection of 360 bottles for the participants to taste.

He also supervises the Japanese version of the International Tequila Academy and has made it his life’s work to spread the excellence and correct knowledge of tequila. Since 2021, understanding the issue of the lack of authentic tequilas in the market he has started to help import of several tequila brands to Japan, and is expanding his activities to comprehensive consulting for import, promotion, and education of tequila in Japan.
