Robert Dombrower’s career has been anything but ordinary. A former professional opera singer turned financial executive, he has spent more than three decades helping advisors and investors navigate complex financial markets. Along the way, he discovered that whether the subject is music, markets, or mezcal, the most rewarding pursuits blend art, science, and craftsmanship. That lifelong curiosity eventually led him from concert halls and conference rooms to the world of fine spirits.

Today, Robert is a Certified Spirits Specialist (SWE) Executive Bourbon Steward (Moonshine University and Stave and Thief) and Tequila Sommelier (ITA) who believes every great bottle tells a story worth sharing. Drawing on a performer’s stage presence and an educator’s passion, he brings history, production techniques, sensory evaluation, and plenty of wit to every tasting. His presentations are equal parts education and entertainment, proving that learning about tequila, bourbon, whiskey, and agave spirits should be as memorable as the spirits themselves. After all, life’s too short for boring lectures—or bad tequila.
