I am originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco but grew up in the US. I moved back to Jalisco with very little knowledge of what Mexico was really like. Not what we see in movies, not what other Mexicans in the states would say it was like.
I fell in love instantly. I was living in Tlaquepaque Centro, and Tlaquepaque was newly named Pueblo Mágico.

I was in the food and beverages industry when I got invited to my first distillery ever, Casa San Matias. It was a very informative visit with lots of Tequila and Mariachi. Shortly after that my second distillery to visit was Patrón.

This happened in 2015 and from there on my life has never been the same. I was opened to a great journey for a passion that I never knew one day would be. Tequila has gave me knowledge, culture, friends, work, mentors. It gave me a window to know more about Jalisco, know more about Agave, know more about other states in the Mexican Republic. It opened my eyes to a Mexico that’s has always been there, in plain sight.

I have made it since then a personal mission to explain, not just to tourist, but starting with my own people the beauty behind every label and all the hard work, from traditional methods.
