Spanning the globe with her experience in wine and spirits over the last 28 years, Victoria Tolonen ran bars in the Caribbean, worked in the wine world in the Pacific Northwest, as a bartender in South America, and she now works in the world she loves most: Agave Spirits. Her love of Agave began in 2006, developing through studies and travels throughout Mexico and the US. She received her Tequila Sommelier Certification from the International Tequila Academy in 2022 and her Mezcal Sommelier and Master of Agave Spirits Certifications from the Agave Spirits Institute in 2021. Her company, La Calaca focuses on consulting and education, teaching the value of clean processes, tradition and authenticity. Victoria splits her time between Bend, Oregon and Mexico.
